Christmas Music Factory Adventure

Children's Prior Knowledge & Experience

  1. Basic understanding of Christmas, able to say words like "Santa Claus" and "bell."

  2. Familiar with the song We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

  1. Christmas songs : We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

  2. Percussion instruments (tambourine, maracas, triangle).

  3. Christmas-themed videos

  4. Magic command bell (golden bell).

Say the slogan “Adventure, go, go, go !”at the start, transitions, and end of the class to help children form routine memory.


1. Introduction Activity 5 min

    

1-1 Play the video "Christmas All Around the World."

Ask : "What holiday is this ?" "What do you see ?"


1-2 Video Interaction : Play the video "Christmas with Santa".

Ask, "What do children do during Christmas ?"


1-3 Transition: Shake the magic bell and say, "The factory needs little music helpers to celebrate Christmas together!"


Adventure, go go go!


2. Development Activity 15 min

2-1 Learn the song "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

Follow the teacher to sing the song line by line.



2-2 Factory Mission

2-2-1 Christmas Gift Relay : Groups form circles and pass a Christmas stocking prop to the music. When the music stops, the child holding the stocking picks an instrument and completes a rhythm challenge (see appendix for details).

🎁 Gift : Long beats (clap and shake hands to the rhythm).

🔔Bell : Short beats (clap quickly).




2-2-2 Group Rehearsal (guided by teacher):

p.s. Slow version first, then the quick version.

Instrument Group : Follow video prompts to play rhythms. 

Choir : Follow video prompts to sing lyrics.

           

2-3 Collaborative Performance :

Play the video "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." Repeat for practice.

3. Conclusion  5 min

Record Performance : Perform and upload to Wix.

Reflection Questions :

"What Christmas tasks did you do today ?"

"Which instrument did you like the most ?" "Why?"

Closing Ceremony : Use instruments to make sounds together, replace voices with clapping, and say "Merry Christmas !" in unison.
